I don't have access to the main page. Chris manages the site. Currently the site has been updated, but you may have to clear your browser's cache to load the new page(shift+refresh on firefox)

Worst case scenario: Maybe, I'll upload the installer tomorrow instead of today.
Explantion: I am trying to add more needed features in the installer. eg more languages, display the license, ability to remove settings when uninstalling, using qbt icon for the installer. Any other suggestions?

No problem sledge
, upload whenever you can. Those things would be nice improvments to the installer, things like ''open .torrent files with qBittorrent'' are already there so hmm.. Can't think anything else at the moment
.

How about an option not only to remove settings when uninstalling, but to perform a complete cleanup, removing all the remaining qBittorrent folders entirely?
I always do this manually with all the software that I install on my computer..
It's a good way of avoiding potential problems.

If you mean remove all the related folders in "Documents and Settings\username" then this what I meant when I said to remove the settings.

How about adding portable option with the installer ?
Being single user I like to have my settings stored in the folder where the program is stored.

This cannot be done in the installer. qBittorrent itself needs to support it first.

Re: qBittorrent 3.0.0 installer - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
It isn't REQUIRED to have a clean install of each version is it? I thought it was only if the builds are built in different ways, I know we had to clean install when we switched off the "official" builds but if we're installing/upgrading through the same line from same builder it's a much unnecessary step correct?
Use the qBt icon on the installer exe, like official DIB builds used to be? Instead of generic nsis icon, yes please.
And regarding portable qbittorrent, there were some older unofficial builds, so it can be done... we just need someone to do it. BTW, they were not an installer they were simple exe file that runs the program directly and puts config folders/files in the folder you execute it from. I very much like the idea of a portable version, and not having my config files being 1) behind a hidden folder in some obscure location and 2) on the windows user partition, if I have the option.

I wonder, Sledge; what's a scenario called when it has gotten so bad that it isn't covered by the "worst case" definition any more?

Thanks. Great job as always, Sledge!
The new installer seems to work just fine.
If selected when uninstalling, it removes the user folders like intended.
