Import created torents into QB

Post by Thief »

I have a number of torrents which I created on one computer seeding out and have moved QB (V4.3.9) to a new Windows 10 computer and would like to move the torrent files here as well so they continue to seed.

I tried to open the torrent files in QB but it has put them into the Downloading status and I don't think that's correct.

Hi,

Add the .torrent file as paused, change the path to file if needed, and do a force recheck (right click on it)
If the .torrent match the hash of the media file it will turns to "complete" status, and you can resume it for seeding

I tried that and it's in a stalled state and it looks like it is trying to download all the files, even though I created them?
Remaining is the full size of each file and availability is 0%.

I think I may have to recreate every single torrent file!

if the force-recheck does not end with a complete status the hash check failed and files are not recognized
So either the .torrent loaded is not the good one or the files are the wrong ones. Or the path and/or content (see torrent>content tab) are wrong
The .torrent is a hash of files, names, tree structure, etc so all need to match. And this doesn't change from one computer to another of course so something should be wrong if you cannot complete the force recheck

PS: check the permission too
