I recently got a new PC, reinstalled QB, and *thought* I put all settings to what they were on my old PC -- but I obviously screwed up someplace.
The problem:
Under Tools|Options|Downloads, I have the default save path set to F:\Completed. (screenshot attached)
But when a torrent actually completes, they are usually saved to D:\Downloads (which is also my "watched" directory).
During the download process, I can right-click on any torrent and choose Set Location to direct it to F:\Completed, but if I do not do that, QB will put them in D:\Downloads.
What have I done wrong? I just want every completed torrent saved to F:\Completed, with no further action/thinking required on my part...
Unable to make directory settings stick
Re: Unable to make directory settings stick
I am having this exact problem. Did you ever find a solution?
Re: Unable to make directory settings stick
It's been a couple of months; does anyone have a solution to this problem?
One more detail I've discovered:
It *seems* that the problem occurs only with torrents from one particular site.
I.e., torrents I grab from Site A ignore my default directory settings, and always go to D:\Downloads.
But torrents I grab from Sites B, C, D, etc. seem to obey my settings about put them in F:\Completed.
So, is there something like cookies in QB that I can clean out, to get that one website's torrents to behave?
(I have cleared cookies in my browser, several times; that didn't fix anything...)
