With VPN bound to network adapter do I still need to disable DHT?

Post by molitar »

So I have qBittorrent bound to the NordVPN network adapter and verified no leaks.

DNS Leaks - None
Email Leak - None
Torrent Leak - None
WebRTC Leak - None
GeoLocation Leak - None

I do have Anonymous mode enabled in qBittorrent.

Now with VPN do I still need to disable DHT and if so what else needs to be disabled?

Just binding should be OK, but I would not even trust NordVPN at all lol.

I mean, if you are afraid, and you are rightfully afraid, then just rent a seedbox.
All the speed, 100% privacy, 0% leak chance.

Seriously, honestly, best approach. I had good luck with https://ultra.cc/ . (we are not sponsored by any of them, they are not paying me. I used Ultra and PulsedMedia and Ultra is so so so much faster and has so many more features. I bet there are 1000 other providers out there, but I can't try them all out.)

And on top if you need a VPN because I don't know, you are a double-agent and a spy, use a trusted provider like Mullvad or Proton for example. But don't use these poopy ones like NordVPN that spend 99% budget on youtube advertisement and sponsorship.
