Strange behavior

Post by Oggie62 »

Recently I started a torrent, and on start it was going very fast (3.5Mb/s). Soon after a few minutes it began to slow down gradually and within a couple of minutes it went to zero and it said 'stalled'. I have already seen the 'stalled' but on torrents that don't start. What is even stranger is if the computer is rebooted (full cold start) and I restart qbtorrent, the stalled torrent repeats the same behavior. I have been using qbtorrent for about 5 years and this behavior makes no sense - any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the initial fast download comes from lots of peers and then all of them peter-out, that is unusual. If it's all from one peer, it isn't

What you say makes sense but no - remains the same number of peers plus there is also the mystery of restarting.....doesn't make sense

I think the Strange Behavior has something to do with a tracker issue. Not to say it is your fault but lately I have experienced the GUI getting lost and not showing something when I know it is there. Especially when using a VPN.

One morning I checked and all of the trackers were gone. Completely restarted QB and they returned. I have gotten in the habit of copy and pasting all known trackers in a list to be added when this happens. I thought it was something I had did but no.
