Seeds & Peers

Greetings, in the active window of qBittorrent v4.6.5, where you're able to watch the up and download speeds of the torrents, there are two columns called Seeds and Peers. And in both columns there is a number and then there's a number in parentheses. Please tell me what does the first number mean and what does the number in parentheses mean? I apologize in advance if the answer to this question was found elsewhere but I wasn't able to find the answer I was looking for, until I posted it here. Any help you can give me be greatly appreciated.

The number means the amount of peers (or seeds) you are currently connected to in the swarm.
The (number) means the amount of peers (or seeds) who currently participate in the swarm.

Example:
4(79) means you are connected to 4 of the 79 torrent clients in the swarm.

Thanks for the explanation. From what I understand it's the total amount of seeds and peers that make up the swarm.
