Search plugins for 5.0?
Search plugins for 5.0?
It appears that all my existing search plugins from 4.x are no longer valid in the new update and that there are no available search plugins for 5.0. Is this correct?
I use the search feature often and will roll back to the last 4.x if I have to wait to all the existing search plugins to be updated to 5.0.

Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
Not correct. I clicked Search for updates and all the plugins function fine.
Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
And I did a search for plugin updates and received "plugin is not supported" for every one of them. I also downloaded new python files and received the same message when trying to add them.

Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
On Reddit they said you might have an incompatible plugin that broke things. Tokyotoshokan is one of such.

Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
I'll delete all the existing files and then re-add them to see if that works.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
Deleting all the plugins did not work.
I completely wiped using Geek Uninstaller and reinstalled 5.0.0. I still had the same problem.
I again uninstalled 5.0.0 and dropped back to 4.6.7 (64), added in some plugins and they were fine.
I'll stick with 4.6.7 for the time being.

Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
Same problem here. Uninstalled 5.0 with Iobit Uninstaller, even checked register for remaining keys and deleted them. Reinstalled 5.0, but problem remains.

Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
I was able to fix this by uninstalling Python, restarting, and then installing the latest Python. Hopefully this can save people the trouble of going through what the rest of us have (uninstalling and reinstalling various versions of qBt).
Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
So I deleted 5.0 and reinstalled 4.6.7, waiting for 5.1...

I had the latest Python installed...
Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
i've followed the same steps as you. no joy for me either.
Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
I also updated my Python 3.8 to 3.12 and that solves the problem.
Re: Search plugins for 5.0?
Deleting Tokyotoshokan fixed the problem for me. I am with Python-3.12Peter wrote: Mon Sep 30, 2024 12:57 pm On Reddit they said you might have an incompatible plugin that broke things. Tokyotoshokan is one of such.
