Cannot see seeds or peers ?

Post by mikenot »

Qbittorrent has been working great for me, until the last couple of days. Now when I try to download anything it tells me there are no seeds or peers and remains stuck on 0%, even when the websites (piratebay and torrenting dot com) tell me there are many seeds. My Norton software updated about the same time as this happened so I am wondering if that has anything to do with it? But I've gone through all Norton's settings and cannot see anything that has changed. Any ideas ?

An update...using uTorrent's web application works fine, so it cannot be Norton or my ISP blocking torrents. UTorrent shows 13 or 14 seeds at the moment for my downloads while qBittorrent still shows zero seeds!

So definitely (?) something wrong with qBittorrent....perhaps...maybe...

Make sure you allow qBittorrent in Norton, especially in it's firewall. Bonus tip: Please don't use Norton. The Microsoft anti virus that ships with Windows 10 and 11 for free is so much better.
