.torrent files management

Post by Fleshus »

Hello, after seeing this topic viewtopic.php?t=3620

For me, the question remains.
I'd like the copied .torrent files (from the folder chosen in the options) to be deleted when I remove a torrent. (And also for the .torrent in my browser's default download folder to be deleted once copied; that would be perfect.)

Or to be able to change the default destination folder for downloaded .torrent files (I tried to do this in Firefox settings without success).

(My browser's default download folder is a mess, which is why I'd like to have only one copy of each .torrent file in a folder specifically for that purpose. And for it to be deleted when I remove a torrent as well.)

Totally agree—having .torrent files scattered in the default downloads folder gets messy fast. It’d be great if qBittorrent had an option to auto-delete the .torrent file after it's been added and also remove it when the torrent is deleted. Right now, I'm using a script to clean things up, but native support would be way cleaner. Would love to see this as a feature!

I completely agree with the idea that the developer should have a command to delete the .torrent file if it is added and remove it if it does not exist for easier file management
