I have recently scanned the Internet for a decent torrent client since uTorrent became horrible. I have found that qBittorrent is to my liking in ALL ways but ONE.
Why have you made it such a pain to name the folder you're downloading? For example, if I download an album it is usually a bunch of music files stored in a folder. The name of the folder is almost always named in a way that does not go well with the sorting of my own music library. I realize that I can right-click the folder and rename it in qBittorent, and one can argue that it is not that it is not that much work. But it really is an unnecessary feature, that just makes things more difficult for the user. Especially if you're downloading plenty of folders, then it is really a pain to do this every time.
In the "Save As" menu, you should just have a field where you can type the path (with auto completion) and folder name. Just like uTorrent had before they destroyed it.
Why do you not want users to BOTH have sorted hard drives AND seed torrents?
Best regards,
DT

Could you specify which uTorrent had this feature?
(I never seen it, that's why I'm asking...)

Hi shiki,
I'm not sure exactly which version of uTorrent it was. But up until quite recently it worked like this when you added a torrent. That is, you could type the name of the folder easily. And the path is the last used, which is very convenient when you're downloading many albums of the same artist.

Re: Why such a pain to name folder?
So if you add one torrent with a custom path, the other one should have the same "path"?
Why don't you use labels? ( I mean, I understand you like the feature, it's just that I don't really get the point of all that. Still not sure if we talk about the same thing. If we do, I always wonder how my friends have this applications and stuff in Music. Yeah he uses 1.6.1 ...

Re: Why such a pain to name folder?
I agree that it would be nice to be able to change the save path by typing driectly. i.e. default path is x:\bt\, type "abc" at the end to make it x:\bt\abc
right now...
1. choose other from the drop down menu
2. click new folder
3. rename that folder
4. choose that folder.
5. repeat 2-4 for sub-folders
right now...

Exactly my point! And on top of that qBittorrent creates a folder, which you have to righ-click and rename (see my picture below). It is a very very non-optimized workflow that requires in total something like ~10 mouse clicks instead of just one.

Compare this with the old efficient uTorrent, where you can type the path directly. It's a real time saver!

Re: Why such a pain to name folder?
In short, it has to be this way to allow un/select all rather than having the un/select all button.
It might be better the old way you describe, but it was changed some time ago to be more compact/simplistic.
It would really be better if there was a way, like advanced features, where we could opt out and select the old style.
