v3.1.0: Problem with completed downloads
v3.1.0: Problem with completed downloads
Clean install of v3.1.0 (official build):
Completed downloads doesn't always get moved, but remains in the folder that I've created for incomplete files.
If memory serves me correctly, this is a problem that had to be fixed once before.
(WinXP32/SP3)

EDIT:
Related to this bug I guess:
https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/967/
However, v3.0.xx always seemed to move my completed downloads like it was supposed to.

Re: v3.1.0: Problem with completed downloads
I have a similar problem with the "Append the label of the torrent to the save path". Whenever I start a torrent it downloads in the default save path (I assume it's supposed to move it after it completes like uTorrent does it ). Every time I restart qBittorrent it thinks the files are in the appended path (regardless if the download was complete) and starts downloading from the beginning. I have to manually move the files to the appended path and do a re-check for it to pick up where it left off and not start all over again.
In previous versions it would download directly into the appended path ( including 3.1.0 RC).
---
I switched to Windows 8.1 and qBt 3.1.0 at the same time so it might be a Windows thing.
Edit: I don't use the "keep incomplete torrents..." setting

Re: v3.1.0: Problem with completed downloads
IIRC hasn't changed something in "keep incomplete torrents..." between 3.0.11-3.1.0. However, this feature was always a bit finicky.
This isn't supposed to be happening. It should download directly to the appended path. Moreover, nothing changed between the RC and the final release in that particular feature. Unless libtorrent from upstream is broken....I have a similar problem with the "Append the label of the torrent to the save path". Re: v3.1.0: Problem with completed downloads
Im using qBittorrent for a long time now (about same time when Azureus turned into Vuze and later became so bloated with useless stuff that I was forced to leave it), but since previous version to 3.1.0 I started to have problems with completed downloads.
After 3.0.8 (if memory serves me well) new version actually corrupted some of my downloads. Nothing too important tho, just bit inconvenient to download some stuff again. Another problem was that files werent saved where they are supposed to be. Instead of "append to label..." everything was saved in default directory. Now it seems to sorta work again (after it created bunch of folders where it shouldnt).
Im not sure when exactly, but something happend to file managing between 3.0.8 which worked flawlessly for me and 3.1.0.. Now I just hope it will work for now correctly. Still Im apparently randomly "loosing" downloaded files, or I cant deleted from qBittorrent ones I downloaded (files are there, just qBittorrent doesnt know about it).

Yep, unfortunately when I let it save and have "append to label.." checked, it doesnt work. It just saves in default directory..

Fixed: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorr ... 5e52b1f77aYep, unfortunately when I let it save and have "append to label.." checked, it doesnt work. It just saves in default directory.
EDIT: It affects only magnet links, right?
Re: v3.1.0: Problem with completed downloads
Since almost everything today is magnet link I didnt notice that. So I tried regular .torrent file and yes, you are right, only problem was with magnet links!sledgehammer_999 wrote:Fixed: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorr ... 5e52b1f77aYep, unfortunately when I let it save and have "append to label.." checked, it doesnt work. Yes. I'm using magnets, and I've got "Append the label..." checked.
I'll do some testing tomorrow..
Right now, I need some sleep.

Re: v3.1.0: Problem with completed downloads
Confirmed.
If you start the torrent via a torrent file, the completed download gets moved correctly.
..But if you start the torrent via a Magnet link, the completed download remains in the folder for incomplete files.
Checking or unchecking "Append the label..." makes no difference in this matter.
(qBittorrent v3.1.1.1 / WinXP32,SP3)

EDIT:
I forgot to mention; there's no need to post a "problematic magnet/.torrent file", because the bug seems to affect ALL torrents downloaded via Magnet links.

Re: v3.1.0: Problem with completed downloads
Here are my settings -

When I start the downloads, the incomplete qb files are created in the "Other" folder but as soon as I assign the label, they are moved instantly to the label folders in "Downloads\Finished". Shouldn't ideally they be moved after the completion of torrent into their label folders?
