I have looked through all the settings of v2.9.7 but can't see how to schedule it to launch automatically at startup. Any help appreciated
Great tool by the way.
How do I schedule qbittorrent to launch automatically at boot up?
Re: How do I schedule qbittorrent to launch automatically at boot up?
Add an entry to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (single user)
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (for all users)
Copy the path from the desktop icon or the Start menu entry and paste in as a "New String Value"
Or type shell:startup into a Windows Explorer address bar and create a shortcut to qBitTorrent in that folder
You will need to give qbt elevated permissions ('Set Run as Administrator' in Properties -> Compatibility

You didn't mention the flavour of Linux you're using
In Ubuntu and it's variants, you can add a program or script to the startup via settings> system settings> startup and shutdown.

Or if you are feeling more adventurous

Re: How do I schedule qbittorrent to launch automatically at boot up?
I am using Ubuntu Studio 12.04 LTS which as you may know has the XFCE default environment.
Thanks for the replies people. Can't see settings > system settings > startup and shutdown.
There is Settings with its sub-menu and System with its own separate sub-menu. Neither has a start up and shut down option.

Re: How do I schedule qbittorrent to launch automatically at boot up?
I've personally never used xfce, but a little googling came up with the following site

Many thanks for the link. I have qbittorrent auto-starting now.
