qBittorrent selectively seeding torrents

Post by Allwynd »

hey everyone, i just noticed that qBittorrent wont seed my torrents from Kickass, on the picture, you will see, though, its seeding the torrents from another tracker, but none from here

Image

i actually noticed in the options that there was an option that capped my up speed at 50kb/s.... 50kb/s?! i have unlimited connection and about 8mb/s up speed, why would i wanna cap it at 50kb/s?!

and then i paused all torrents, restarted qBittorrent, and it still doesnt start seeding the torrents from Kickass

im using Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 and the default antivirus - Windows Defender, because i dont need a crappy AV at all, i just keep that one for the sake of it.. and when i installed qBittorrent, in the options there is this setting to exclude it from Windows Firewall, i did that, but still doesnt work with Kickass

pls help me, i wanna seed the sh*t out of my torrents

Welcome,

Above torrents are all showing low peers numbers like 1-2 or even 0 which means that there are almost no people downloading it so you can't seed. If it shows (3) as peers doesn't mean that there are actually 3 peers. The other 3 torrents are seeding like it should so this is pretty normal. Perhaps you forgot to change the settings to unlimited cause the default upload speed is 50KB/s when you run qBittorrent for the first time.

I would advice you to blur (or something like that) your downloads next time to be ''safe'' as I see that most are illegal torrents.

Its all good, don't need to worry about the seeding. Well personally I don't really care about the image and if you don't care about it also then no problem :D. But what I was referring to is that its officially forbidden to share copyright materials so the next time if you could blur them that would be great. Not everyone needs to know what you're downloading ;).

Useful information on the ones that have peers but none uploading would be what the flags say. For example, interested, but choked. (lowercase "u") Currently uploading (uppercase "U")
