qBittorrent defaults all settings after system power outtage/crash

This has happened to me a few times, now.  My system either crashes or a power outtage occurs.  Upon reboot, qBittorrent defaults all settings, requiring reconfiguration.  Additionally, custom folder/file names in torrents are reset and therefore cannot find the downloaded file.

I've resorted to creating a backup of the files in my Roaming\qBittorrent folder.

I assume you are not using the latest version. Latest is v3.1.9

I am aware this is an old topic, but I had exactly the same issue after a power outage. Had to manually enter all settings from scratch again.

As 3.2.0 is now the current.
