qBittorrent does not open

Download qBittorrent ver. 2.9.7-1 from Ubuntu software center in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
Click qBittorrent in Unity the hard disk led flashes on-off a small window opens with icon and in a flash goes off but nothing else, I cant find the application.
How can I fix this.

I have a similar problem. QBittorrent has been running perfectly for a considerable time - also on Ubuntu 12.04.
It will now no longer open though locked to Launcher, icon doesn't 'flash' when clicked.Attempts via Dash results in same situation.
Tried reinstalling, terminal output is:-

qbittorrent is already the newest version.

Open a terminal and launch qbittorrent from it by typing "qbittorrent". Paste here the console output.

You could try using PPA, it is much newer version qbittorrent 3.0.6 and libtorrent 0.16.4...
I'm not sure if this would solve the problem, but it would still be a good idea to upgrade from 2.9.7

In terminal I enter “qbittorrent
” various times on the beginning just puts in the screen

my ADSL modem light keeps flashing for long time but nothing else stopping the terminal

There is still a process running in this terminal. Closing the terminal will kill it.

since the newest user update for12.04, Qbit interface has disappeared....GRRR so annoying!  What the hell did they forget?  screw using the terminal I want it to work like it should!
