I have a big torrent that contains lots of old time series. There's currently no seeder and I'm trying to revive the torrent by chasing down the original torrents used for the big torrent and download those too.
In this particular case my job was made extra easy because the original torrent file was included. Yeay! I managed to download that original torrent up to 93% complete. Awesome! So I copied those new files to the Big Torrent's files and did a Force Recheck. And now the surprising thing...
Instead of the Big Torrent reporting 93% complete for these files, it once again reported as >60%.
I'm not mixing things up. The files were copied from the original torrent and I overwrote the files in the Big Torrent. Yet they report different completeness's! How can that be? It's not that the files hashes mismatch; that would give 0% complete for those files... (I had another Original Torrent that wouldn't be recognized by the Big Torrent's Force Repair... Which was weird because, again, these VOB files were identical and were the original source used by Big Torrent).
Sigh.
I just copied the files once more and did a Force Repair. Same results. Screenshot:

And yes, I know Size on Disk is different but that's because after the Force Check... I started downloading the Big Torrent again and now it's catching up on the parts I previously had but overwrote. Right after the copying of the files, these numbers matched.
