The "#" column should always display the torrent number(s)

Post by mingle »

Hi,

I'm fairly certain that a few versions ago, the "#" column on the main torrent-window used to display the actual number of the torrent at all times. Maybe I'm misremembering, I don't know...

However, it now displays a "*" symbol when all torrents are completed. Not quite sure why this is?

It would be far, FAR more useful if it always displayed the torrent number at all times, regardless of the torrent-status.

Cheers,

Mike.

Well it's * because there is no order to complete torrents.
There is an order for new torrents that are in queue for download.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply!

I'd argue that the 'order' of an ongoing could be better indicated by the "Date Added", or "Progress %".

I think the Torrent number (#) is better used to show how many torrents are there in total, regardless of their status.

Am I right to assume that the "#" is assigned to an individual torrent at the time of adding? Again, I'd say this would also be useful/interesting for completed torrent too...

Would it be possible to add another column which is something like "Torrent Number" to display the number of any torrent, regardless of status, or possibly have an preferences option for the "#" column to display completed torrents too?

I'd find it very useful, as I'm seeding over 1200 torrents. I noticed that several others have also asked the same question about the "#" column in the past.

Cheers,

Mike.
