Webgui from swizzin qbittorrent install says wrong credentials

Post by jarzyjorf »

Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue before or can give me an idea on how to solve this.

I am running Swizzin on Debian 12. I installed Qbittorrent but, when I try to access it through the webgui, it tells me I have invalid credentials.

I know the user/pass are correct as they are the ones I created for the Swizzin install. Of all the apps I installed on this seedbox, autobrr, filebrowser, and organizr all use passwords for webgui access and they (correctly) use the Swizzin password which works. Qbittorrent and Deluge are both giving me issues and say I have the wrong credentials.

I tried editing the .conf file to remove the user/pass. I checked that the change took but the webgui is still saying wrong credentials, even when I try to use admin/adminadmin. If I reboot after this change, when I check the .conf file the user/pass are back again.

I have also tried four different versions of Qbittorrent and all of them are giving the same error.

I feel like I'm fumbling at the 1 yard line here as I have my seedbox set up and Qbittorrent installed but I literally can't just get to the webpage.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks!

admin/adminadmin used to be the default credentials but these have been long ago deprecated. Look in the log file for the temporary credentials and use them to login. Then change the credentials to whatever you want to use going forward.

I'm looking in the log file located at: /home/user/.local/share/qbittorrent/logs/qbittorrent.log

and there's nothing in there about temporary credentials.

Am I looking in the wrong place?
