Extremely laggy when scrolling content window

Post by manzurfahim »

Hello everyone,

Hope you are well.

I have this issue ever since I started using qBittorrent, from 4.5.1 or something. Whenever I try to scroll the content tab of a torrent that has many files, the scrolling becomes extremely laggy. Regardless of file types, as long as there are many files, this will happen. I check for a fix every time I update the program, but it never happens, so I thought I should post here and see if there are any fix or workarounds.

Main torrent list scrolling is fine and smooth, only the content window of any torrents where there are enough files to scroll to.

Currently using 5.0.3

Windows 11 23H2 64-bit

Hi,

Well if you see no complains and are facing the same from the 4.5.x to to actual 5.0.x branch you have to look on your own setup.
I guess the system is accessed with he full client on Windows directly (no WebGUI) hence the browser is out.
Maybe the disk or disk activity of the computer itself? did you check the computer performance or have you tried to launch QBT as administrator?

Yes, no WebGUI. The software is pretty smooth when scrolling through the 1000+ torrents, no issues at all. It is only laggy on the content area, and only if there are many files.

Disk activities are normal, one large RAID6 and multiple NVMe. Nothing too busy. PC is high-end, no performance issues anywhere.
