CPU usage

How high should qBittorrent's CPU use be? On my XP it's constantly using about 32% CPU. Is that normal? Isn't that a bit high?

hmm... what's your cpu?
usually slower the cpu, higher the usage...

What Tekko said basically.
(It also depends on your antivirus, on the encryption of the connections and the speed you are transferring speed.)

This is a 5 years old core2duo computer, it was cheap then so it must low end processor. Anyhow utorrent is taking only 10-15% CPU, but I guess a new computer would be a wise purchase anyway. Dear Santa

My PC is about the same age. It's an iMac 2008, Core 2 Duo @ 2,8 Ghz on Windows 7. It's usage goes from 0 to 5 percent... so it's pretty low. I recently started to use ZoneAlarm Antivirus + Firewall, because it got pretty good AV results. All connections use forced encryption. DHT is on, PEX and LPD. UPnp is turned off, because it doesn't seem to work. I use fixed disc caching (currently 64MB testing).
