Blocked IPs

Post by fellowes »

This is not a qBitTorrent problem, but i need your help.

I'm having problems with my wifi, and sometimes when i download files, some data gets corrupted, maybe 10%. Uploadiong is 100% ok. And qBitTorrent, thinking the problems is in the peer, usually block this peer's IP.

I'm in a private tracker, and there are a few peers, and in a few minutes almost all of them dissapear from my peers because of qBitTorrent block them.

While I try to fix my wifi problems, I like to clear or disable the blocking system. Is there any option to do this? is there any file that i could delete or clear to fix this?

Hi and welcome to our forum,

Few things that come up to my mind:
- Ports are open like it should? (Windows firewall, router or UPNP)
- Bad wifi signal?
- Which version do you use, and your os?

I'm not trying to solve my wifi problems in this thread (a friend of mine will fix this, I hope). I'm trying to empty the list of blocked IPs, wherever there are, because they are good peers, the problem is mine.

I'm using qBitTorrent 3.1.1.1 and W7 x64

Alright, I don't know how to empty the blocked ip's. My guess would be restarting qBittorrent but im not sure. Perhaps someone else can clarify.

qBittorrent doesn't have a way to clear the blocked IPs on demand. I think they are cleared after a restart. (or maybe they are automatically saved in the fastresume file)

Yes, I can confirm they are cleared after restarting the client.

I just noticed this post. And if its the same as what ive been experiencing then it seems its comeing from an ipfilter. As seen here:
http://qbforums.shiki.hu/index.php/topi ... ml#msg8769 . As you can see from that post i think that area of code has the only place where "was blocked due to your IP filter" comes up. OP mentions corruption but not the blocked message displayed. (ignore/remove post if unrelated)

I'm having problems with blocked IPs too. I'm on a private tracker and qBT keeps blocking a lot of IPs that I really need to seed to. I get that blocking IPs sending corrupted pieces is acceptable, but why does qBT keep blocking IPs when seeding?

I just watched my torrent seed list and 2 out of 18 was seeding at ~ 35 KB/s. Restarting qBT to purge the block list made all of a sudden 10 of 18 torrents seeding at a total rate of 990 KB/s which is near my maximum upload band width.

Is there a way to make qBT NOT blocking IPs? At least not when seeding?

TIA
