Hi all good to be back to qbittorrent after a few year hiatus. Seems everytime I add a torrent it wants to download them again. I already have it and wanna seed but gotta download what I have over the files I already have. They are in a new directory "Qbit" from old vuze downloads.
Rechecks don't seem to do much. I have a dedicated connect so its fast its just seems silly. Shouldn't a recheck see its there and mark it downloaded? thus seed. Or do I need to rehash the whole thing which makes Adding torrent files irrelevant. I doubt my logs would be of help.
besides its on the other computer. if logs would help and you know what youre looking for please post command line ie:#grep -R ? | journalctl.
If this is status quo I'd say recheck needs expanding. Otherwise I'm pleased so far to be back. Vuze is simply too heavy and java quirky .
One feature I'd like to see is force-start on the context menu .
running Arch kde/openbox

For multi-file torrents choose dir above because qbt appends the dir to the save path.
Alternatively check that the torrent points to the correct path when added. general->savepath
Well it seems ported to the new save path. says so at least in the .conf .....(?)
anyway theyre all running downloaded and seeding now. I would hope a recheck would see that all files are there
and ready to seed., thus seed. Or complain about why. Perhaps its a different tracker or tracker related problem. But alls well now.
Not a bug perhaps a feature request.........maybe the torrent file needed to be copied somewhere???
otherwise I'm pleased
