How do I change from unstable to stable version?

I want to switch from the unstable version to the stable version.

I removed the unstable PPA.
I added the stable PPA.
I did the apt update.
I did the apt upgrade.
But QBT did not change, and I'm still running the 3.3.0 beta.

What do I need to do?

Ubuntu v15.10
qBittorrent v3.3.0 beta

My preference is to use PPA, and switch from unstable to stable.

Probably because the version in  'unstable' is "newer" than the version in 'stable'

The different versions of stable are confusing.  Mine says 3.3.0beta (I haven't received unstable updates for a while...so maybe something else is broken), but I think stable is on 3.3.1 now.

I've got some error is my apt-get output.  Not sure if the problems are related.  Not sure if the problem is apt-get, PPA, or QBT repository.

The errors are caused by Canonical moving the animals to a different part of the zoo, 20 seconds after a new species appears!!

You can get rid of the "Failed to retrieve" messages by updating the repository URLs to the "old" versions.

Assuming you don't need or want to upgrade the distro just yet.

Stable Version    = 3.3.1
Unstable Version = 3.3.x~6312-20151029

My version that I installed from unstable is v3.3.0beta, and the unstable PPA hasn't upgraded my system to anything higher.  Notice the unstable version hasn't been updated since 10/29.  So I think the stable PPA is at a higher version.

And since I removed the unstable PPA and replaced it with the stable PPA, I'm expecting QBT to upgrade.  But it isn't.  Why?  How do I fix it? 

On another note, why is the unstable version behind the stable version??

Still not upgrading from unstable 3.3.x to stable 3.3.1.
Is there a way to readjust the version number I'm on, or force an upgrade? 
I want to see if the x is causing me problems, and change from 3.3.x -> 3.3.0.

Edit the values in version.pri and recompile.

I installed via PPA, so not sure about recompiling since I presume I don't have the source on my machine.

How do I get updated from the PPA unstable to PPA stable?

1) remove the unstable ppa (it's under /etc/apt/sources.list.d/)
2) add stable ppa (sudo add-apt-respository ......)
3) sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
(if the stable version is higher than the unstable one.
you can also just remove the unstable with "apt-get remove", your config will not get deleted.)
