error loading shared librar libboost_system.so.1.62.0:cannot open shared objec

Post by mystified »

I just posted this on the, qbittorrent IRC Chanel @freenode. That's before I noticed this Linux forum.

I've been using qbitt for yrs. My favourite P2P.
On all my linux /bsd distros I've only used Qbitt.

Recently I switched my distro's from SysD.
I'm experimenting with different distros,  and have started to like Nutyx.
My knowledge on pkgs build is very basic. ie ./configure make  make install clean.
I have no knowledge on how to edit & modify the build process
Nutyx on my request, added qbittorrent to there binary pkgs. And works brilliantly on their stable Os.
But.  Nutyx X asked me to assist by testing there current unstable Os.
So I followed the normal install process.
Installed, But when I run the Qbit it freezes.
So I ran qbittorrent through terminal.
here is the error message.

qbittorrent: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.62.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I googled the package Libboost.

This is the description of the pkg, boost when I search for info of the pkg

Boost provides a set of free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries.

Could the fact that Nutyx uses the new version, be the reason why Qbittorent fails to start.
If this is the case what do you guys suggest to rectify the problem.

If anyone could advise on what I need to do, to rectify the problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
