error during search

I'm running qbittorrent v3.3.1 on ubuntu gnome 16.04.
Seems I have both Python 2 and 3 installed.
I'm getting an error when using the search tab:

Status: An error occured during search...

Any ideas on how to fix this?

As im not known with ubuntu at all, maybe this Github issue could solve your problem: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/445

Hi. I had the same problem. I solved it following this advice: https://qbforums.shiki.hu/index.php/topic,5254.0.html

It says that debian/ubuntu users should use the PPA compilation.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable
sudo apt-get update

The search engine is fully functional right now. I'm on Ubuntu 16.04 xenial, hope it helps

Hi guys,
I've already the same problem and the sugestion of the new repository dosent work for me.
I've qbittorent 4.0.3 installed after added the sugested repository with the command

sudo apt-get install qbittorrent-stable

There are no search results despite de inumerous DHT nodes. My OS is Xubuntu (Ubuntu Xenial 16.04.3 LTS)

Do you have another sugestions?
