qt5 theme makes it completely unusable in lubuntu

with the lasted update today and anything i have tried in the last few months
qbittorrent is completey unuseable as downloaded from the lUbuntu repositories.

it has some black theme or something with oversized buttons and misplaced text eveywhere
under file\view\tools\help its BLACK text on a BLACK background with what i can only assume is BLACK highlighting so you cant read anything
maybe it was built fo a 50inch screen
but on my 1366x768 laptop i am boggled on how to do anything.

is there any way to get to to look the way it did in the last version 3.XX ??

i love qbittorrent on windows and used to love it on ubuntu but now its just unuseable.

i even tried from the stable repository  4.0.3.99~201712240117-6243-44d633f~ubuntu17.04.1
and its the same
