Please stop using 'Stalled' and give useful error reporting

Post by bogus »

Heya,

Would you guys please stop using 'Stalled' for everything that stops a torrent and start using helpful error messages? Or at least use it sparingly?

I installed qBittorrent for the first time coming from uTorrent, added a bunch of torrents and they all Stalled right away... After some googling.. and hours later... I noticed that my drive was just full. I moved some stuff and lord and behold, qBittorent continued...

I've ran into two occasion already where I've gotten 'Stalled' which could have easily been remedied had I know the problem was that simple.

- Out of disk space
- No write access

I'm sure there are more of these...

You guys can easily tone down the amount of new "qBittorrent stalled" forum threads by giving proper error messages.

Thanks for this post. QBit has been locked up for days with every download "stalled". I had tried everything, except checking my hard drive space, to try to get it running again. After reading your post, I went and checked the space and found the drive to be full. Moved files to a different drive and all is well. You're right, a more detailed reason for WHY a download is stalled who be extremely helpful.
