Solution for Memory leak while downloading large files (or multiple small ones)

Post by enarth »

Hello,

A while back, i reported an issue, about a memory leak while downloading large files.

To explain it quickly, my memory usage kept going up, until it reached 99% and the computer simply stoped working.

I tried multiple thing, with all the settings, cash related or not...
Anyway, none of that mattered, the issue was still there...

Just this morning i stumbled onto a fix, for a memory leak problem while using the steam link (issue i also have (Had)), since it looked similar to the issue i am (was) having with Qbittorent, i decided to give a go!
And it works !

The fix, is the following:

[align=center]The solution for this says to set 'Start' to 4 in your registry under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Ndu\
And reboot

Don't know if it works for everyone, apprently that particular issue can be tied to MSI motherboard, anyway it's worth a try for those of you that have the same issue

Hope it helps !
