disregard...old thread.
Just upgraded qB from 2.9.7 to 2.9.11 running on Win7 Sp1. Trying to import existing torrents all result in "Stalled" status. I cannot even do a forced recheck. The torrents and actual files haven't been moved so I cannot figure the problem. Will resort back to 2.9.7 and see what happens.

Re: v2.9.11: Importing Existing Torrents resulting in "Stalled"?
OK, I guess it's been a while since I had to import old torrents for seeding. I thought I used to click "Import Existing Torrent" but that only results in the "Stalled" status. I just tried "Add Torrent File" and that appears to do what I want. It checks the file/torrent and then starts seeding.
Re: v2.9.11: Importing Existing Torrents resulting in "Stalled"?
I guess there was a change in how existing torrents are added to qB. I know for a fact now that I used to use the import existing torrents feature and skip checking but now when I import existing torrents they do not work correctly and always show as stalled with 0 file size. If I use the green plus icon it will allow me to add an existing completed torrent but I cannot skip the file check. So why was this changed?

Re: v2.9.11: Importing Existing Torrents resulting in "Stalled"?
I am not sure if this is a result of a compilation error(my "responsibility") or a bug in the program itself(Chris' responsibility). I suggest you file a bug report in the bug tracker and wait to see what Chris will say or advice to me. (I am clueless on where the problem might be.).
Re: v2.9.11: Importing Existing Torrents resulting in "Stalled"?
Just to clarify, I didn't revert back to 2.9.7. Everything I'm talking about is with the current v2.9.11. FWIW, I'm surprised I'm the only one mentioning this. Thanks.
Re: v2.9.11: Importing Existing Torrents resulting in "Stalled"?
OK guys, I apoligize. I made a mistake about the version I was running previously. It was not v2.9.7 but v2.9.5. for Windows.
I installed, tested, then uninstalled and manually deleted the remaining qB folders and rebooted Win7 for each version 2.9.11, 2.9.7, then 2.9.5. qB v2.9.5 was what I was previously running and appears to work correctly (AFAICT) when utilizing the "Import Existing Torrent" feature. It asks for the torrent file and the location of the files and allows the user to checkmark the box for skipping data checking stage.
So something changed after v2.9.5 in the way the existing torrent importation is handled. Hope I'm not confusing everyone, but I will clarify further if needed.

FWIW, also, after testing I noticed in v2.9.11 that "Force Reannounce" feature doesn't work either.
Re: v2.9.11: Importing Existing Torrents resulting in "Stalled"?
Anyone know if this issue has been fixed in the latest release?
Re: v2.9.11: Importing Existing Torrents resulting in "Stalled"?
Apparently this is still happening in v3.0.4 so I'll make a new thread on it. Click on Import Existing Torrent and get the "Torrent Import" popup window. I can select an existing torrent and its completely downloaded torrent but cannot select the "Skip the data checking stage...." option. Now every time I go to import a completed torrent it's being checked. Why is this?
