WebUI Problems

Post by jscho84233 »

So I installed qBT on my remote server. I enabled the webUI and set the credentials. I access the webUI in firefox with http://localhost:8080/gui and it askes me for the credentials. If I enter the wrong credentials, it gives me an authentication error, as expected, but if I enter the correct credentials, the credentials popup disappears and I am left with a blank screen, with the qBT logo and http://localhost:8080/gui in the titlebar of firefox.  It doesn't attempt to load anything. Does anyone have any ideas? I have tried to access the webUI from my windows laptop at home, again with firefox, with http://<my server ip>:8080/gui with exactly the same results. Thanks!

It would be http://localhost:8080 not http://localhost:8080/gui or http://<my server ip>:8080 without /gui

Oh my god, you've got to be kidding me. I'm an idiot!

My excuse for being such an idiot is that I'm used to using the utorrent webui. I assumed qBT would be the same. That'll teach me for thinking I know it all and not reading the help docs!

Thanks very much for the help!
