system: MBP14", M1pro, 32GB RAM
macOS: 12.3
qBitorrent: 4.4.2
qBitorrent keeps asking for permission to access files and folders; external drives in a finder pop-up. Of course I hit OK but it keeps asking. No uploads or downloads happen until I hit OK. The dialogue is random in its timing.
Under System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy tab > Files and Folders, qBittorrent has access (is checked) to:
- One Drive
- Removable Volumes
- Download Folder
I've been using qBittorrent for a while (On Intel and now a M1)and never had this issue before. 12.3 problem? Recent update of qBittorrent?
I downloaded a new qBittorrent.dmg and installed it over the old one but the issue persists. Any tips?
Thanks.
Finder keeps asking for folder access
Re: Finder keeps asking for folder access
Same exact problem here on MBA M1. Worked fine with 4.3.9, but after upgrading to 4.4.2 this morning, get this dialog box popping up multiple times (sometimes >10x) upon app startup.
Re: Finder keeps asking for folder access
mac mini m1 / mac os 12.2.1 / qbittorent 4.4.2
i have exact same problem.
i removed previous install using AppCleaner and installed fresh copy of 4.4.2 but it made no difference.
by the way my drive paths are not being picked up where completed files sit, nothing gets populated.

Re: Finder keeps asking for folder access
I gave up and went back to 4.3.9. Everything works fine again.

I too went back to 4.3.9 and everything is fine. I can again seed a torrent for more than 20 min. Yay!cheezballs wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 3:04 pm I gave up and went back to 4.3.9. Everything works fine again.
