Try the new 2.9.0 RC version available here. It no longer has this issue

Hi, didn't want to open a new thread so i'll write here.

I have a similar issue in W7 x64. Qbittorrent uses a lot of RAM when seeding (especialy at high speeds). RAM load slowly but steadily rises to about 3gb (out of 4 - that's when i close the client because the PC start moving like my grandma).
I should mention that in both Task Manager adn Resource Monitor, the RAM use of qbittorent appears "normal" (a couple of hundred) but when I close the client RAM use instantly drops to around 1gb.
I use the latest version of qbittorrent : 2.9.0.1

Any ideeas or solutions for this annoying issue?
Thanks,
Please look at the bug report. As a temporary solution we decided to enable the os cache again and I uploaded a 2.9.0.1 build. This should fix the IO errors, but, as a sideeffect, when you force recheck a torrent on Win7 64bit it will eat all the RAM.
The bug report:

We all hope this to be fixed soon. Try 2.8.5.
