qbittorrent password invalid

Post by bolkonski »

Hi Guys,
Great forum here.
I have qbittorrent (latest version) but it wouldn't maximize. Having sloved that problem, I find to my dismay that Im being prompted for the Ui lock password. I didn't note it down thinking I could access it later. I have already re-installed but I'm still being prompted. Any ideas?
Best wishes
You can edit ~/.config/qBittorrent/qBittorrent.conf and remove the following lines:

[Locking]
password=zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
locked=false

Then restart qBittorrent.
Thanks for helping out Ironcross, but as a newbie, how do I get in to edit? Where?

Usually it's gedit so, given what ironcross provided, gedit ~/.config/qBittorrent/qBittorrent.conf
I'm not sure if you need sudo if that's the case then, sudo gedit ~/.config/qBittorrent/qBittorrent.conf
