Yes.
This is answer why, it doesn't work. You should have Windows 11, or Windows 10 newer then 22H1 or something like that.

Um no i shouldn't. qBittorrent has had a dark mode since before win 10 even came out so it definitely isn't that and i wouldn't downgrade my OS just because of that anyway.

Just download some dark theme for qBittorrent and use it instead of forcing UI to darkmode natively.

The problem with that is there is no 1 to 1 custom dark mode. To put it another way, everyone is an "artist" and needs to make there own change whether its to the colors or the UI. The best one I've found so far is Dracula 2 but even that looks wrong. I'd rather get native dark mode working.

Tbh I wish there was a theme that perfectly mimics this v4.6.0 Dark UI. The windows XP feeling feels nice.

BUT! If I'm opening torrent file, when qBit not launched, it still white. So, I have better solution. You can edit "qt.conf" file instead of modifying link. If's sit beside to qBittorrent.exe ("c:\Program Files\qBittorrent\" for me)
Open qt.conf file for editing (administrative privileges would required).
In the end of file, add following line:

Code: Select all

WindowsArguments = darkmode=2
Save file. After relaunching qBit it would be dark mode enabled. Works even if you launching qBit though opening torrent file.

I created an account literally just to say thank you for this. This is the solution I had been looking for. My eyes thank you.

Check and see if qbittorent is running in the system tray and if so, right mouse click, exit and then start qbittorent again.
